A new line of handcrafted soap produced by Rohingya refugees, was launched in January 2021, with two variants at the start – moisturising olive oil soap and goat’s milk soap.

The marginalized Rohingyas are one of the most persecuted communities that have fled from Rakhine, Myanmar. Many live in overcrowded housing and lack access to educational opportunities, employment and healthcare.

Tensions between the Rohingyas and Buddhist Arakanese in the Rakhine State have led to large scale attacks on the Rohingyas. It has now escalated into a humanitarian crisis with hundreds of thousands of mostly Rohingya Muslims driven away from their homes.
