Christmas Shoe Project by Operation Care International

Christmas with children displaced from their homeland was hampered by the Covid lockdown. The closure of some learning centres also delayed the project. However, a number of children were still able to share the Christmas joy. Up till today, we have given out about 1,000 pairs of shoes, mostly school shoes, to refugee and migrant children in Kota Kinabalu, Kuantan, Klang and Klang Valley. Engulfing the children’s shy expressions was unmistakable surprise and joy.
