Education Overall Report 2024

Listening to Hamza, a Level 11 graduate of Excel Centre, eloquently expressed the transformative impact of ElShaddai in his valedictory speech: “ElShaddai has shaped us into who we are today. Walking through this hall, we learned far more than what’s in the textbooks. The vibrant mixed of cultures, races and ethnicity, is something we lived. ElShaddai does not just give us knowledge, but perspective, understanding and a community that feels more like a family.” These heartfelt words reflect the experiences of our students at ElShaddai. They understand that education goes beyond acquiring textbook knowledge—it’s about broadening horizons, embracing global perspectives, living out core values, understanding foundational principles, and fostering a spirit of community. It is through wisdom, creativity, and critical thinking that they are equipped to navigate and thrive amidst life’s uncertainties. Throughout history, Christians have recognized the transformative power of education. In many patriarchal societies, profound change was brought about by championing the education of girls, challenging cultural norms, and uplifting the marginalized through education. The church is called to advocate for justice, break generational cycles of poverty, and restore dignity through education. ElShaddai continues this legacy in our present local context, bringing hope to displaced communities. For the illiterate and deprived, just a few years of quality foundational education can be life-changing. It restores dignity and confidence, equipping them to move forward to learn vocational skills, preparing them for employment or entrepreneurship as well as for lifelong learning and wise understanding. The profound framework and ultimate goal for ElShaddai education is built on the belief that in the beginning, all things were created good and intended for good by God. This perspective offers a clear purpose and goal for teaching and learning: the restoration of all things to their inherent goodness. Even the seemingly small acts we undertake each day hold eternal significance, shaping a much larger narrative of redemption and restoration to goodness. Education, therefore, is not preparation for a career or for life but is life itself. And for that, our Master is our best mentor and role model. He taught with authority and journeys with his students with the intention to make them greater than himself. “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these……” John 14:12 Nelson Mandela aptly declared, “Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world.” By God’s grace, in a small town called Klang in Malaysia, we are inspired to Educate Nations and Transform the World.
