Hope Groups with Afghan Women

“I want to thank you specially for preparing this friendly course which is very enjoyable and relaxing for me.  For me, Hope Group is a session that I attend eagerly every Friday.  Likewise, the facilitators who are with us are very polite and are willing listen to us and our pain and empathize with us.  The topics discussed in the group are very informative for us and our children. I am very happy to participate in this group. Thanks”

Recognizing the challenges faced by Afghan women and families in transit, we launched the “Hope Groups,” a support program developed by World Without Orphans (https://worldwithoutorphans. org/resources/hope-groups). This 10-session program provides a safe space for women and mothers to share experiences, process trauma, and explore essential themes like coping with stress, parenting, and finding stability and safety amid uncertainty. Centred on the message of “Hope,” the group encourages participants to identify anchors in their lives that bring strength and resilience as they navigate their journeys of life in Malaysia.
