Story from Prime Primary Learning Centre 2024

Vung Deth’s Story

My name is Vung Deth and I’m twelve years old. I am from Myanmar and I’m a proud student of ElShaddai Centre. My journey with ElShaddai Centre began when I was five years old. I have been studying from kindergarten to grade 6. ElShaddai Centre opened up opportunities for my fellow refugees and me who were struggling to get an education.

Time flies so fast that I couldn’t believe I have just completed something so significant in my life, I’ve just successfully completed my primary education at ElShaddai Centre I have transformed to be a better person my character and changed my perspective. The people around me, referring to my friends, teachers, donors and our headteacher, Mrs. Gan Whye Ying, they had taught me that we as humans, we have love and we can express our feelings. Mrs Gan Whye Ying had taught me that we can express our love in many different forms. From my friends, I believe that they love me by making silly jokes, apologizing if they’ve done something that made me sad and by supporting me. From my teachers, I believe that they showed me love by coming to school every day even though, they weren’t feeling well, just to teach me, and for being patient when the students asked silly questions and by caring for us when we had problems and helping us to overcome it.

To donors and Mrs Gan Whye Ying, I would like to express my deepest gratitude for supporting me in my education by giving me a scholarship. Schooling in ElShaddai Centre has taught me many values including discipline and respecting everyone despite their background. Furthermore, I’ve met many interesting people from different countries and cultures when we do projects together. I learned that different people have different opinions especially when we are from different countries and have different cultures. But one thing that I learned is that as long as we try to understand each other, whatever we do will become a masterpiece. These are some of the lessons that ElShaddai Centre had taught me and I will keep them in my heart forever.

Lastly, my family and I will always remember what ElShaddai Centre had done for us. Thank you ElShaddai Centre and our Lord, Jesus Christ. May God bless ElShaddai Centre abundantly in the future.
