The Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) was the last centre, among all the learning centres under ElShaddai, to welcome its students back to school at the end of July after having been closed for over 4 months. The Covid-19 pandemic has had an adverse impact on the majority of students’ families and we were concerned about how many of them would be able to resume studies given the challenges experienced.
We praise God that since the reopening of the centre, 90% of the students have returned to continue their studies and 5 new students joining us in September. The students were excited to return to school albeit having to adapt to the new normal of learning.
Presently, we have 60 students in 2 levels (A1 & A2) and 4 teachers. To comply with the social distancing S.O.P, the centre is operating in 2 sessions, a morning and an afternoon session with shorter hours of learning. We are very proud of our teachers who have gone the extra mile to help students catch up with their school work.
