E-graduate Graduation 2022

On June 22nd, 2022 (Wednesday), ElShaddai Centre held our very first Graduation Ceremony for 35 of our E-graduate students. They come from all walks of life, but they have one thing in common; they are eager to learn and they believe education will take them further.

The event was attended by more than 120 people, including the director from E-Graduate College in London; Mr. Anthony Chung, the UNHCR Senior Protection Officer; Mr. Keane Shum, Give2Asia advisor; Ms. Qistina, our founding director; Mr. Andrew Ng, Executive and Educational Director; Dr Ng Oi Leng; family and friends of our graduates; staff, and many more. Other than speeches given by a few important figures, there was a special choir performance by students from ElShaddai Excel Secondary Learning Centre as well.

Mr. Anthony Chung personally handed out certificates to the graduates, and the courses completed amongst the 35 graduates were: Diploma in Health and Social Care; Diploma in Computing; Diploma in Business Management; and Diploma in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration. The ceremony ended on a sweet note, with family and friends busy taking pictures with the graduates and refreshments served to all guests.

The E-Graduate program is an e-learning platform for refugees to learn a skill that will benefit them long-term in the hopes of securing a job with a stable income. Some of the graduates were able to get jobs even before they completed their courses. Congratulations once again to all the graduates, and we wish you all the best in your future undertakings.
