Through the love and dedication of our community workers, we are witnessing holistic life transformation in the Indonesian community. A case in point is Pak W. When his 7-year-old daughter was involved in a motorbike accident at the end of March, our community worker helped to raise funds for the medical bills and obtained a referral letter of discount from the Indonesian Embassy. Our worker also visited the family every day for three weeks, providing them with emotional support in their time of need. Since the incident, Pak W has been touched by the holistic support he received from our community worker. He has now become a key member of the ICC committee, reaching out to more community members and helping organise programs to unite the community. He has also since obtained a work visa, and is more at peace emotionally, having been able to forgive the friend who was involved in his daughter’s motorbike accident after our community worker journeyed with him.
