Tohaidah is a 13-year-old girl who came from Myanmar and has been living in Malaysia for over a year. Back in her own country, Tohaidah has already attended secondary school in Grade 7. 

She started attending this centre this year in 2023. Although she began Grade 7 secondary school in her home country, she was weak in English when she was enrolled with us. Taking a positive step to improve her proficiency in English, I organized extra lessons with her an hour before classes began once a week. This extended into the holidays as well, and now she can read and speak in English confidently and even write a few English sentences in class. All of us teachers teaching her have seen significant improvements in all her subjects due to a key advancement in the English subject.
