140 Youth Impacted
In 2024, we expanded the services in our Ampang NewRoots centre for the Afghan community in Ampang, Kuala Lumpur. The centre now offers programs tailored to toddlers, children, and youth, with activities scheduled on different days of the week.
To support community development, this year’s activities are designed around quarterly themes: Others Before Self, Speaking Kind Words, Hand in Hand, and One Family. These themes aim to instil good values and character in the children and youth that can be translated back at home.
We are thankful for the dedication and support of our volunteers whose commitment ensures that each activity is both meaningful and purposeful.
As a result of their participation in our activities, our youth achieved an incredible milestone by being nominated among the top 10 in the UN Global Minecraft Challenge worldwide.
