This year, we observed challenges in students’ consistency in practicing good character, with some within the community taking the school’s provisions for granted. In response, stricter disciplinary measures were implemented to address conduct and academic concerns. Despite these challenges, the school made meaningful progress in holistic education, student well-being, and community engagement through programs such as the interschool public speaking competition and Colours of Culture Day, which strengthened leadership and collaboration.
With donor support, the school added an additional Level 7 class and enrolled 42 new students, bringing total enrolment to 112. Of the previous cohort, 66 out of 70 students were promoted, while the dropout rate decreased from 11.8% in 2024 to 8.9% in 2025. Scholarships were awarded to 17 students (15%) from underprivileged backgrounds.
Students’ Testimonies
“Starting secondary school at Excel has been really fun and exciting. I get to learn new subjects like ICT and Peace and Unity in Diversity, which teach me about technology and how to live peacefully with others. I’ve made many new friends in Level 7, and the teachers are always kind and helpful. This makes learning enjoyable and easier to understand. At Excel, school is not just about studying. We joinedsports, clubs, and events like Colours of Culture, where students celebrate different cultures through food, clothes, and creative ideas. I really enjoy my life in secondary school!”

“The 2025 school year has been a remarkable journey, marked by growth, learning, and unforgettable experiences. From the very beginning, the school offered numerous opportunities to learn beyond the classroom. Every activity andchallenge, including sports competitions, helped us develop essential values such as teamwork, leadership, and confidence, which will undoubtedly guide us in the future. The year was not only about academics but also about discovering ourselves, testing our limits, and fostering meaningful connections within our school community. One of the most memorable highlights was the Cultural Day celebration, where students gathered to celebrate the richness of diverse traditions and backgrounds. It served as a meaningful reminder of unity in diversity. I was also privileged to participate in the interschool public speaking competition, which became one of the most valuable experiences of my year.”
