Tawi Kim, ElShaddai Centre’s outstanding top achiever in the 2025 IGCSE results with an incredible 1 A and 4 As, is nothing short of inspirational! Tawi’s remarkable achievements not only highlight her impressive abilities but also serve as a beacon of inspiration to everyone around her. Here’s her story:
My name is Cing Ngaih Tawi Kim, and I’m from Myanmar. I came to Malaysia in 2010 and started schooling at ElShaddai Centre in 2013, and that was the beginning of my journey with ElShaddai Centre. In 2013, I was in nursery school, then in 2014, I was in pre-school, and from 2015 to 2020, I completed my primary education. After that, I continued my journey in Excel secondary learning centre from level 7 to level 11, which is from the years 2021 to 2025.
By God’s grace, I got a full scholarship from when I was in primary year 5 all the way through secondary level 11. When I first applied for the scholarship and got it, I realised that in times of need, God sent people who are willing to help those who are less fortunate and people who have sincere hearts and love to give what they have, regardless of not knowing who they are helping, for example, myself. For that, I thank God, the donors, as well as all those who are involved in helping students like me to get scholarships.
My first year of applying for a scholarship was one of my toughest years. My family had financial problems, and we were struggling to manage our income. I’m beyond grateful that I had teachers who loved and supported me and tried their best to get me a scholarship. If I didn’t get a scholarship, I wouldn’t have been able to study and wouldn’t be where I am right now. With that in mind, I was determined to work hard and concentrate on my studies as much as I could. I also thank all the teachers for their dedication and hard work that they put in to teach us and help us to achieve a brighter future.
Lastly, I want to thank all the leaders of ElShaddai Centre, all the teachers and all the donors for thinking of people like myself and giving hope for a better future. May the Lord God bless you and grant all that your heart desires.
