Education Fund Student Testimony – Angela

I’m Angela, and I’m currently studying at Elshaddai Excel Learning Centre (EELC). I’m currently at Level 9 and studying for the IGCSE. My favourite colour is yellow, and I think I’m a pretty decent badminton player. One of my dreams is to travel to South Korea when I’m a young woman. I want to try their various cuisines and visit Namsan Tower, which appears in many of their dramas and films.

One of the most significant things that has happened to me since obtaining sponsorship is that I now have more opportunities for learning, confidence, and hope for the future. In addition to being able to focus on my studies, knowing that there are people who are willing to help you and root for you gives me a sense of security and excitement.

I like school. The majority of my time is spent in school and classes. School not only teaches me how to read and write, but also how to take care of myself. For instance, critical thinking. Critical thinking has helped me solve problems instead of just complaining about them, because it requires a lot of research and decision-making skills. It also makes me a better person because I willingly listen to others.
