Indonesian Community Centre (ICC) 2025

The ICC continued to grow as a place of connection, support, and shared
experiences. The community fellowship meets twice a month, bringing people together through social gatherings, sharing sessions, and meaningful discussions.

In March, the community joyfully celebrated Hari Raya Idil Fitri, while a monthly spiritual teaching by an Uztad provided steady guidance and encouragement. After Hari Raya Qurban, the community came together again to commemorate the Indonesian Independence Day. Every Saturday, the sound of children’s laughter filled the ICC as activities were held for the kids living nearby.

A special retreat in Penang happened in June, attended by the three community leaders and their families strengthened leadership bonds. Soon after, a weekly
badminton session for the men was introduced and has since become a regular Saturday night activity.

Alongside these events, ElShaddai Sanggar Bimbingan experienced a meaningful year of growth and impact. A total of 19 Indonesian interns were assigned by the Indonesian Embassy to support the teaching efforts. In January, Sanggar Bimbingan expanded with the opening of a new branch at KSKA, welcoming 40 students. A new milestone was achieved when two students successfully completed the primary level and received their certificates in a ceremony led by the Indonesian Ambassador, Dato’ Hermono. Their achievement marked the successful completion of the elementary program. In August, the teaching team grew with the arrival of volunteer teacher R from Indonesia, who joined the team at KSKA.
