In November 2024, we rescued four young children from a back street, destitute home in Klang, age between 2 to 13 years old. Their father abandoned them and the single mother just passed away. We provided them with a safe place to stay and some food. We worked closely with the Indonesian Embassy to apply for their Indonesian citizenship and collaborated to arrange their return to their relatives in Indonesia during the same month. We also helped facilitate the burial of their mother, working closely with the Indonesian community in Klang.
In December 2024, in collaboration with the Indonesian Embassy and FBC SJ church, we successfully arranged the return of an Indonesian mother, and her eight children to Indonesia.
During their 6 months with us, we assisted them with documentation, accommodation, food, and essential
needs. We also connected them with a
family in Indonesia who could continue to follow-up and care for them once they are back in Indonesia.
After their repatriation, with the help from FBC, we continued to support the family for an additional three months to help them settled and stabilised.

3-month-old baby Shafira had a serious bacterial infection. Her parents are irregular migrants, and she is the youngest of three children. We provided emotional support to her parents and accompanied them throughout this difficult period, before helping the family to apply for travel documents from the Embassy to return to Indonesia. In addition, we connected them with Yayasan Cowkit and they provided non-dairy milk formula as it is required for her survival.
