Glorious’ Story

My name is Glorious Htoo, I am 6 years old. I would like to tell you about my preschool – it is the ElShaddai Jalan Pasar Learning Canter. I love my school very much! In our school, we have 4 classrooms and my class name is ‘Faith’. Every day when I come to school, my teacher Ms. Rebecca will say ‘Good morning, Glorious!’ and it makes me smile. I have lots of friends here – they are from Indonesia, Rohingya, Sri Lanka , Pakistan and Myanmar. We play together and learn a lot of things together from the school. At circle time, we sing fun songs and read stories. My favourite story is ‘Peter and Jane’ because I love to read about their activities and I also like their pet dog named ‘Pat’. We also learn about colours, numbers, and phonograms. My favourite subject is science because I like to learn about the ‘Water cycle’. It is very interesting. It’s so much fun to learn new things. I really like art time when we get to paint and make crafts. Last week, we made trees with our hands, and I painted mine green and brown. I went back home and gave it to my mother. She told me that ‘it was very nice!’, and it made me really happy! At lunchtime, we sit together and eat our yummy food. We like to share our food with each other. When it’s time to go home, I tell my teacher, ‘Thank you teacher!’ and ‘Good bye teacher!’. I can’t wait to go back the next day to learn and play more! Preschool is the best, and I’m so happy I got to be here!”
