Elite Learning Centre 2025

Several key activities this year created meaningful learning experiences and left alasting impact on our students.

The Interschool Public Speaking Competition was an eye-opening experience, allowing students to learn from peers from other schools by observing different speaking styles and approaches. In addition, students gained insight into how formal
competitions are conducted. This experience helped build their confidence, enhanced their communication skills, and encouraged them to strive for higher standards in public speaking.

The Asia Pacific University (APU) Campus Tour provided students with the opportunity to interact with university students and explore academic facilities, enabling them to experience a real university environment and campus life firsthand.
In short, the tour inspired and motivated students to work towards pursuing tertiary education.

During the School Camp Career Game, students were encouraged to be more mindful of their choices, realizing that every decision carries consequences, whether positive or negative. The speaker’s sharing impacted students by highlighting the importance of being prepared to adapt when things do not go as expected, and how honesty, responsibility, and perseverance shape a successful life. Additionally, students learned the importance of receiving support from friends, family, and teachers when facing challenges.

The Cultural Day, themed “Threads That Bind Us,” reminded students that despite differences in culture, background, or beliefs, everyone is connected. Through preparation for performances, decorations, and food, students were able to see the importance of respecting and caring for one another.

Changes observed in students

Throughout the year, students demonstrated noticeable growth in various areas. Through the planning of school events, they developed stronger leadership and communication skills. They became more familiar with key aspects of event planning and were able to propose more suitable and effective plans.

The wellness program conducted by social workers provided students with new insights, particularly in understanding their rights and learning how to protect themselves. On the other hand, students’ presentation skills also improved, as they learned to speak up confidently for their rights and express their views clearly. In addition, the value of kindness was clearly demonstrated when students took the initiative to offer help whenever school facilities required repairs.

New breakthroughs in previously limited areas

This year marked several significant breakthroughs in areas that were previously not achievable. The number of students from the Puchong area increased significantly compared to previous years, reflecting growing interest and trust from the local
community.

A new venue, Taman Wawasan Recreational Park, was discovered and has been used for Physical Education activities over the past six months. Its spacious environment, facilities, and open areas have enabled students to participate in exercises and games more effectively.

Elite also organized its first hiking event at the Wawasan Trail, offering many students their first hiking experience. Through this activity, students enjoyed nature while developing resilience and perseverance as they completed the trail.

In addition, Elite’s first Award Day was successfully held at DUMC Puchong, marking an important milestone for the school. The leaders of DUMC Puchong have agreed to allow the continued use of their facilities for future Award Day events, ensuring a suitable and consistent venue for celebrating students’ achievements in the years to come.
