A Testimony – by Yakup 2025

“Ariel was once our student but stopped school last year. About three months ago, Imet Ariel and his mother at the Indonesian Embassy. Ariel recognised me immediately and came over to greet me. He and his mother were distressed becausethey had been scammed. They were supposed to collect Ariel’s travel documentthat day, but the agent they trusted had cheated them. His mother spent RM3,000on the document, only to discover it was a scam.

Since then, I assisted them in preparing the required documents and accompaniedthem to the Indonesian Embassy. Ariel had no papers or a birth certificate. And at 18,applying for a birth certificate and SPLP (travel document) is more complicated thanfor children.

After waiting for three months, Ariel finally received his SPLP and officially obtainedhis Indonesian citizenship. Ariel and his mother were overjoyed. On our way back toKlang from the Embassy, we encountered a roadblock in the Subang Jaya area. Ibecame very worried and nervous because Ariel does not have a visa. I prayed to theLord and called His name, He protected us, and we passed safely. We continued ourjourney home with grateful hearts.
