On the 10th and 11th of November, a flash flood in Johan Setia Learning Centre affected 22 students and two teachers. The centre was closed on both days, and one of the students’ parents offered us to use their house as a school. We had lessons as per usual from 9-12 pm. Though it wasn’t as comfortable as in a school, they managed to pull it through because they knew the importance of education. As a result, we experienced how the community came together to support their children’s education during a testing time like this.
