Thanksgiving Dinner 2019

From last October to June this year, it has been a milestone for ElShaddai. We have seen some developments in the past months and there are quite a few more to come. To receive and share these developments, we had a simple thanksgiving dinner cum interim updates on 24 June at Wesley Methodist Church Klang. We were grateful to have more than 150 guests and volunteers attending the function that evening.

The event started with a lovely appreciation buffet dinner at the foyer and open area in front of the church and we saw beautiful fellowship among our sponsors, volunteers and co-workers. Before the evening’s event started, we had a word of welcome from our foundeing director Mr. Andrew Ng, followed by a prayer by Rev. Ashok, and worship led by Bro Choon Tat.

the evening was the short sharing by one of our secondary students. She shared how she went through her education in ElShaddai Refugee Learning Centre besides the challenges she faced at the early times when she first arrived in Malaysia with her family. She really enjoys her studies in ElShaddai especially being able to learn English and speak with confidence publicly. There were also song performances by the primary and secondary students who showed great talents and potential.

Our Education Director, Dr. Ng Oi Leng also provided the guests a comprehensive update of ElShaddai’s works for the past 9 months from Oct 2018 till Jun 2019, followed by Sis Julie Tan’s update on financial status.
We are very thankful for God’s blessings in the past years till now. We pray whole heartedly that ElShaddai will continue to grow as the works in providing quality education to the misplaced and marginalized children for achieving a better future will never stop.

The evening ended with a Q&A session and a closing prayer by Rev. Yeo Teong Loke.
